Paul Ivory ACII

Business Manager

With insurance experience spanning over 30 years involving a number of senior underwriting roles at Zurich Insurance group (formerly Eagle Star) in Ireland, including responsibility for their marine insurance business, Paul is ideally qualified to manage our Irish company from his office at Bray.

Paul’s links with other team members at Craftinsure can be traced back to the 1990s when he was a regular visitor to Eagle Star in London for marine insurance training and meetings!

Although more involved with racket sports than water sports, Paul is happy to get afloat when the opportunity arises and has built up a broad knowledge of boats and the pleasure craft industry.

Rod Daniel

Director

Responsible for establishing Craftinsure Ireland in 2008.

After over 30 years with Eagle Star Insurance in different marine insurance roles, including head of Navigators & General, it was time for a change!

Having known and worked with Eagle Star colleagues who developed and launched Craftinsure in the UK, Rod was delighted to join them in 2006. With previous experience of working with the Irish insurance market and in particular, underwriting pleasure craft in Ireland, Rod was keen to provide a similar facility for Irish boat owners.

In common with many, Rod’s first sailing boat was a Mirror. The Solo dinghy has been his most recent favourite but he is also a regular GP14 sailor. Among his most memorable sailing experiences are sailing up the east coast of Sweden on a Dufour 41 and participating in the Round the Island Race.
